2nd Annual “Buy a Friend a Game Day”

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009 by Ryan L. Lopees

Last year GameTechWorld created a new holiday. “Buy a Friend a Game Day” is meant to ease the woes of tax crunch and takes place April 16th, this Thursday. “Buy a Friend a Game Day” is meant to be a playful, friendly gesture to amongst your fellow gamers. You don’t have to buy your friends a game that’s hundreds of dollars. A $5 downloadable game will do, but if you really lke your friend get them something they will enjoy! Find a friend who’s had a rough year and do something nice. I don’t want to hear any of the El Cheapos again this year complaining “Why should I spend my money on someone else?” If you have to ask that question you should probably ponder your part in the gaming community.

If you have a friend who helps you out this year, do the right thing; come on by here and give them a shout out!

Monday, April 6th, 2009 by Ryan L. Lopees

Another bit-o-the-tid for you, the readers, is a going to be a weekly update as to what is going on here at Gamers Platform. I know many of you pop in randomly to see what’s new or what’s been reviewed. Well, now you will know what to look forward to. Ideally, every Monday I will give you a heads-up as to what is in the works for the week. I won’t give specific days in the week, where’d be the fun in that? But I will tell you what is coming.

The Winds of Change at GP

Monday, April 6th, 2009 by Ryan L. Lopees

Along with the new look, we’re going to change the way things work around here at GP for all of you a bit. Most notably will be our scoring system. Many of you may already know this about me, but I absolutely hate giving a game a number score. I would much rather prefer just writing the review and letting the reader go from there. However, many readers like to have a score to quick reference games they are considering.

The New Look of Gamers Platform

Sunday, March 29th, 2009 by Ryan L. Lopees

I’ve talked about it and talked about and talked about. Well, now it’s done… mostly. You’ll see new things added to the site over the next couple of days. All in all, welcome to the new and improved much more robust Gamers Platform. One word of warning to all you Platformers out there: Sadly, you will have to re-register for the site as transferring the user accounts would have taken about 112 hours off database coding. I love you guys, but not that much.
