New Resident Evil 5 Trailer

Saturday, May 31st, 2008 by Zach Potts

Sweetness, the “sequel” to one of my favorite games. Not too much new here in the way of gameplay, except for the fact that you have a friggin’ machete which is awesome, and it appears the villagers are infected with the Las Plagas, as you can see one of them being shoved down a dudes throat. They are affected about the same way, except for the fact that they now chew your face off in a way like in Blade 2 with the Reapers. And can anybody tell me why all the villagers who wield chainsaws wear berlap sacks over their heads?

You also see the female protagonist, who is much more helpful than Ashley as she has a gun and will probably help you. This could lead to co-op, but we’ll see. I don’t know about characters in the series, but she has an accent, lives or has lived in Africa longer than Chris, and wasn’t his last partner.

Check the video though, because it is friggin’ awesome.

Friday, May 30th, 2008 by Zach Potts

TriForce Sales has acquired the rights to make 1:1 scale replicas of C.O.G. armor and weapons, including armor, helmets, and the Lancer Assault Rifle; you know…the sweet ass gun with the chainsaw. And 1:1 means real size, so you can be awesome with your armor and gun cos/role-playing it up.

You can preorder your set starting July 8th on ProjectTriforce.

The prototypes are set to be shown off at a panel at Wizard World Philadelphia this Saturday, May 31st, so expect some pictures to be up on the web then.

New Street Fighter IV Info

Friday, May 30th, 2008 by Zach Potts

New info for both the console and arcade versions. For one, the console versions will feature a few exclusive characters that aren’t in the arcade version, and they will also have an online mode, which is always nice.

Also, today Capcom announced a new character for the arcade version, Rufus, and also featured another character, El Fuerte.

Check the jump for screens.

Super Mario RPG coming to Japan’s Wii VC

Friday, May 30th, 2008 by Zach Potts

Holy F! Super Mario RPG has been confirmed as coming to Japan’s VC on the Wii this summer for 900 Wii Points, which means it HAS to come to the US’s one of these days. I’ve been waiting for this game ever since the VC was introduced. It’s gonna be awesome. I had the game on the SNES, but could never finish it as the battery was dead and I couldn’t save, or the saves got erased :(.

Check the jump for the rest of the summer line-up.

Valve Announces Steamcloud

Friday, May 30th, 2008 by Zach Potts

Steamcloud is a new Steam service that will allow you to save various things on their server space, such as game saves, preferences, and keyboard configurations.

It seems like a nice thing to have, but nothing TOO useful I wouldn’t think. It could be nice though I guess if you have a laptop and a desktop though, so that’s good, especially with the game saves. That’s one reason it’s never good to rent games for the DS or older consoles like the N64.

SimCity Creator coming for Wii and DS

Thursday, May 29th, 2008 by Zach Potts

The Wii version follows the basic formula of SimCity, where you create your own city using a variety of parts and systems, from creating industrial, residential, and business zones, and working on electrical and water factories and roads and such. There are also 13 architectural styles to choose from, including European, Asian, and Crystal styles. Naturally, you can also cause mass havoc in your city by calling on a destructive force, such as aliens, monsters, earthquakes and more.

The DS version is a little different, as you have to guide your city from ancient times into the future, and features four different modes: Challenge, Free Play, Chance Encounter, and Gallery.

The game will be coming out September 22nd in the US and the 19th in Europe and Asia.

Screens after the jump.
