Command and Conquer going to iPhone/Touch

Friday, October 9th, 2009 by Zach Potts

Seems the game industry, or at least EA, is trying to move a bunch of titles to the popular iPhone and iPod Touch. We heard earlier about Rock Band, and now it’s Command and Conquer: Red Alert.

It isn’t the full game of course, but will feature two maps and 12 combat levels, which is enough for RTS fans to be pleased with a competitively priced game. There is apparently a new combat system, so it may not be like its PC brothers, but it’s sure to be similar, and with easy to use touch controls, the prospect is a fairly exciting one.

The game is set to be released later this month, so keep your eyes open.

Cleopatra available on iPhone/Touch

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009 by Zach Potts

Cleopatra, the famous slot machine, is now available on the go with the iPhone and iPod Touch.

The game supposedly replicates all the fun and style of its real-life counter-part, giving players a fun, addictive experience they won’t want to put down.

I’ve received the game, and will review it shortly, so stay tuned for that, but until then, check out the official trailer. You can pick it up now via the App Store for an affordable $1.99.

Hydro Tilt XL Review

Thursday, May 21st, 2009 by Zach Potts

Title: Hydro Tilt XL
Developer/Publisher: Code Glue / Publisher X
Platform: Apple iPhone and iPod Touch
Release Date: 05/19/2009
Number of Players: 1

Hydro Tilt XL is an expansion to the popular Hydro Tilt for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. This is more of an expansion or update rather than a brand new game, as it features all of the old levels and keeps your times and data. What is added with XL is 30 new levels, and the ability to both create and upload your own levels as well as download new ones. I won’t really be talking about the game itself, as I already did a review for it HERE, but I will discuss the new level editor and other improvements.

Title: Magnificent Gizmos & Gadgets
Developer/Publisher: The Method/Publisher X
Platform: Apple iPhone, iPod Touch
Release Date: 04/11/2009
Number of Players: 1

Magnificent Gizmos & Gadgets is a puzzle game that plays very similarly to one that’s been on the web for a while now. Your objective is to move this purple ball into the goal area, which is a rectangle off section of the 2D playing field, however, the purple sphere cannot move on its own. Well, to be fair, it can move via inertia, but it can’t propel itself forward. In order to solve these puzzles and get this ball to the goal, you must build a machine or gadget using a handful of items.

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009 by Rafael Perez

Title: Dance Dance Revolution S
Developer/Publisher: Konami
Platform: iPhone, iPod Touch

Dance Dance Revolution S, or DDRS, is a faithful recreation for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch. You pretty much know exactly what to expect from this game, and it mostly delivers, but how well do the touch screen controls work and is it still any fun to play?

Silent Hill: The Escape for the iPhone and iPod Touch is the second Konami game for the device I’ve played, and this one is even worse. Like their other effort, this title is simple, boring, repetitive, and short.
