The Winds of Change Pt. Duex

Monday, April 6th, 2009 by Ryan L. Lopees

Another bit-o-the-tid for you, the readers, is a going to be a weekly update as to what is going on here at Gamers Platform. I know many of you pop in randomly to see what’s new or what’s been reviewed. Well, now you will know what to look forward to. Ideally, every Monday I will give you a heads-up as to what is in the works for the week. I won’t give specific days in the week, where’d be the fun in that? But I will tell you what is coming.

The Winds of Change at GP

Monday, April 6th, 2009 by Ryan L. Lopees

Along with the new look, we’re going to change the way things work around here at GP for all of you a bit. Most notably will be our scoring system. Many of you may already know this about me, but I absolutely hate giving a game a number score. I would much rather prefer just writing the review and letting the reader go from there. However, many readers like to have a score to quick reference games they are considering.

Gamers Platform is pleased to announce..

Monday, October 27th, 2008 by Matt Cross

The introduction of our new review system!

Yeah, we’ve got the whole brainstorm thing going right now, and we’ve decided we’re going to be trying something new with our game reviews.

Instead of the scoring breakdown that you are used to seeing us do, we’re going to change it up by introducing our Love/Hate section. Rather than trying to provide accurate point scoring, we’re simply going to tell you the things that we like and dislike about the game. We all came to an agreement that the archaic point system is something we would like to begin moving away from, and in adopting this new method, we all feel that our reviews will be much better. Rather than us trying to tell you the graphics score this, sound is this, we’re going to leave that judgment up to you, and give you our opinions on games.

The new review system will be starting basically right now, so look for it in any of our new reviews coming in the next few days!

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008 by Zach Potts

Nintendo’s latest foray into expanding the gaming audience and enticing the casual crowd comes in the form of Wii Fit, the game that will allow millions of users to stay in shape in a fun, enticing way. Does it accomplish this goal? For the most part.
